Executive & Program Committee Meeting

In Attendance: Marty Scheuerman, Carolyn Higgins, Kathleen Schori,
Kathy Murphy, Jeff Schori, Carol Rice, Jeanne Mannle, Ray Dampier
Secretary-Treasurer Report:
- The transition of financial documents between past Sec/Treas (Marty Scheuerman)
and new (Kathleen Schori) has not occurred yet. Marty and Kathleen
will meet to transfer finance documents/ledgers prior to the next meeting.

- Website Update – Marty helped Carolyn access the website. Carolyn
is now the webmaster and will maintain the site. For additions and
deletions contact Carolyn
- Correspondence Received – Scholarship application from Tom Brennan,
as student at Shasta College – directed to Carolyn Higgins
2006 Conference Recap
- Vendor Reviews positive
- Desert Research Institute informal field trip highly regarded
- Golf Tournament – Successful, recommend doing again
Scholarship
- Carolyn reported that she would be sending the scholarship solicitation
announcement and application to all colleges within the 3 states having wildland
fire curriculum. See attachement below.

- Deadline for applications – September 1, 2007
- Members urged to spread the word
- Suggestion by Carol Rice to include selected college instructors to review
and rank the scholarship applications
- The scholarship winner(s) will be awarded the scholarship at the annual
Fall meeting. They will be encouraged to attend the conference and
offered a compensated room.
Fall 2007 Conference

and demonstrations

New Business:
- Jeff Schori suggested that we include a link to the vendor’s web
pages onto the CNH webpage. We would only provide the link for the
vendors that register for the 2007 Fall conference. Once the registration
is received the link would be posted.
